2005 Chrysler 300 light

Engine Performance problem
2005 Chrysler 300 6 cyl Automatic 99061 miles

Its a rear wheel drive, not sure engine size. My problem is the engine light came on a week ago and went away 2 days later now it back. What could be wrong?

That may be an indication of a dirty egr valve or misfire, but we can never pinpoint until we get it scanned, bring it to your local parts store, they usually do this service for free, I know autozone does(anywhere but california) get the trouble codes and bring them back to me so we can get this fixed
