Engine Cooling problem
1995 Chevy Van V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 130.00 miles

I have a coolant loss. When I fill the radiator up and run the van when I get back home and let it cool down. I check the coolant and it is down about 6" in below the radiator neck. Also some times when I start
the van I see white smoke coming out of the tail pipe
It comes out for about 30 to 45 seconds. It does not do that all the time. This is a G-20 van. Also it start up
rough than it smooth out.

Your white smoke is more than likely coolant leaking into a cylinder(s) caused by a cracked head or bad headgasket. The missing would be a fouled plug until it dries out while engine is running.
