98 Chevy 1500 V6 40,000 miles. Truck fails to start, when I turn the key nothing happens, does not crank, no noise at all. This is an intermittent problem that seems to happen only after it has run for awhile and engine is warm. After waiting 20 minutes or so it will start right up and runs fine. Have had the battery replaced, also replaced the starter solenoid (but not the starter), problem persists.

I know of someone who had a problem like that and they had to rebuild/replace the starter itself. Cranks find cold, but when hot it is weak or nothing at all.

Battery New and good connections sounds like an ignition switch, NSS/Clutch switch or Anti theft.
