2001 Chevy Truck Values tap

When I start up in the morning or doing the day after the truck have sat for a while the values tap real loud for about 3-4 mins then smooth out. I change the oil and filter regularly. I was running with 10w30 someone suggested upgrade to 10w40.

I was running with 10w30 someone suggested upgrade to 10w40. Could work if not its a lifter leakdown problem
