I would like to replace front u joint where the yoke goes to the trans. These are greaseless joints, can they be replaced with grease plug type with c clips. These have holes on the out side of shaft, like there are pins holding the u joint in place. How do you remove this type of u joint?

The holes are where they pour molten plastic in to lock the caps in place. Yes they can be replaced. After removing the shaft from the truck you have to heat up the end of the joint untill you see the plastic coming out of the holes it will come out like a worm. Once this is done you will be able to press the caps out as normal. Then replace with your parts from local parts srore. Sealed or with grease zerts it is your choice.
