ENGINE WILL TURN OVER, HAVE SPARK AT PLUG WIRE. CAN HERE FUEL PUMP RUNNING. AFTER CRANKING MOTOR AND LETTING GO OF KEY THE CRANK WILL GO IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION FOR ABOUT A 1/4 TURN. NEVER REPLACED TIMING CHAIN. TRUCK WAS RUNNING FINE BEFORE THIS.

Hello,

Ok, first - What color is the spark? If bright bluishwhite it is good if orange have weak spark possibly coil.

Next - does fuel pump run continuously or for about 3 - 4 seconds. If continuous pump may be problem. Another possibility is the fuel pressure regulator.

FUEL PUMP ONLY RUNS 3-4 SECONDS. TRIED STARTING FLUID. SPARK IS ORANGE IN COLOR. GAS MILEAGE REALLY HAS DROPPED OFF.

Ok, lets take a look at the Cap & Rotor. If you can pull the cap off and take a look inside. If there is a lot of build up on the diodes then I would start with replacing the cap and rotor. Could be the cause of the Orange spark, poor gas milage and the no start problem.
