1997 Chevy Blazer S-10 194,000 miles. After a recent service visit the following things have occured.
When started and idling there is a rattling sound in the exhaust.
(I assume it's the Catalytic Converter falling apart as I have a few miles on it.) Is this correct?

Also when I start my beater it is making weird sounds in the starter and sometimes it feels like it's drawing down on the electrical system.
(I assume it's just a matter of replacing the starter and possibly the solenoid) Is this correct?

Not sure on the starter,

but the exhaust may have been crushed by a lift. Or it may have a heat sheild the is loose. IF you can rap on the exhaust with a rubber mallet, you'll be able to narrow down th source. May be as simple as getting a very large hose clamp and resecuring it.
