1995 Chevy Truck tranney not shifting

Transmission not shifting out of 2nd gear. Is this a computer problem or am I in deep with this?

I had the same problem with my 1995 Chevy did you notice if the speedometer was working? Because the transmission is electronic, it is hooked up to the speedometer, if the speedometer does not work you will only have first and second gear, and also if that speed sensors is bad.
