1995 Chevy Truck Two Wheel Drive Automatic 390000 miles

Hello, my truck is a 6.5 turbo deisel with a problem in the ignition. The key has been broken off in the ignition and shortly after this happened the starter will not turn over(clicking sound). When the ignition is turned to the acc. Position the door buzzer is intermittent and the "dummy lights" flicker like there is a short, including the glow plug light.I guess my question is can the faulty starter/solinoid create my dash shorts or did the broken off key short the ignition not sending enough juice to the starter?

ps. The batterys are well charged.

Depends on if the truck has an immobilizer when the key is not inserted? If the top part of the key has a chip and it's not in the lock it wont start.

I would say the problem is coming from the switch if its not doing that before the key broked off.
