I was driving down the road and my truck just bogged down, I was going about 60 mph, I made it about 4 miles. I could barely keep it running and then it totally died. It turns over but won't start, I dumped a little fuel down the carb and it started but would, nt run. How can I check the fuses before I pull the bed off the truck to replace the fuel pump?
1-27-08 I replaced the fuel pump and it fired right up and runs great, I found the easiest way to do this was remove the bed, we dropped the tank first but there wasn, t much room, so we tool out 8 bolts and unhooked the wiring harnest lifted the bed off with a small hoist a nd were done in about an hour.

You may want to check the fuel filter before you go much further. I would also pull the input line to the filter and put it into a can and turn the key on to see if the pump is working.
Just my 2 cents worth.
