1992 Chevrolet 1500 4X4, 4X4 problem

I have a 1992 Cherolet 1500 with a 5.7 V8. I am having a problem with the 4WD. The transfer case is working and shifting fine, but the front wheels will not lock. The 4WD fuse blows everytime I shift into 4x4. I realize this is an electrical problems but have no idea where to look, or if this is a common problem.

I know that on the 94-95 there is and electrical issue with the front accuater in the axel. When you buy the new accuater it cmes with a new wiring kit to install. That was the way I was with my truck before I sold it.
