1991 Chevy Truck engine died

After warming my truck up I got in to go to work and I turned the lights on and the engine died. The radio, the lights nothing comes on, nothing happens when I try to turn it over. I checked the alternator and the battery and both were good

If the battery connections are good then suspect the fusible links at the starter motor. These are rubbery wires that act like fuses on the hot side of the starter, one may have broken
