1989 Chevy Truck transmission only shifts at high RPMs. Rea

Hello. My truck just recently started shifting at higher rpms. It shifts from 1st into 2nd at 30mph and 3rd at 50, overdrive won't kick in until 80mph. Never had any problems until about 3 weeks ago. Gas mileage is breaking me. Any help would be apreciated.

Check the "T.V" cable (throttle valve) hooks to the throttle body and is adjustable for different shift points. The cable may be breaking internally. There is a big square that you push in and the end of the cable will move in or out to adjust, try all the way in and go from there, takes some playing around to get it right
