Brakes problem
1976 Chevy Truck V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic

ive been trying to get the brakes working on my 76' Chevy truck and have discovered an air leak at the master cylinder. It is leaking from in between the master cylinder and the brake booster where the master cylinder bolts on. Can this be fixed and how do I go about fixing it?

When you say air leak, are you suggesting that air is entering the master cyl or there is a vacuum leak from the booster?

I cant say. I havent taken it apart yet. The only thing I know is that when I squirt it with soapy water I can see air bubbles coming out where the master cylinder bolts onto the booster

This will be a failed booster, you will not be able to over haul it your self, best to get a change over unit fitted, this will be cheaper and quicker.
