Hello, as long as you don't open the throttle valve, the nut should stay above the throttle valve. Can you see the nut? Use a long reach magnetic pickup tool.

I can no longer see the nut in my carb bowl, and my throttle is stuck wide open. What canI do?

Take the carb off. Then see if you can find the nut.
