I have a 1997 2 door tahoe 2 wheel drive with a vortec 350 with 85000 miles. I live in Houston Texas and my truck is not a daily driver. The problem i'm having is that if I don't start my truck daily after 2 days of sitting in the garage it will be dead. I replaced the battery and alternator and still having the same problem. Can the starter be the problem?

Thanks,
Joe Robles

It sounds like you have something draining your battery like a dome light, glove box light, something is on, and thats why your barrery is dead after two days.

Thats what I thought also and I checked them all could not find one that was staying on. Some one told me it could be the fround wire. Is that possible?

I wouldnt think so, but to see if you have a drain take a test light, disconect the neg, battery cable and put the test light between the two conections if there is abright light you have a drain.
