2005 Chevy Tahoe fluid loss

I took my Tahoe in because it has felt like it slips out of gear and goes into neutral once while driving it nad a few times when I stop and then press on the gas it feels like it is in neutral then jerks and takes off-They found that there was little fluid in the transmission and added 8 quarts-I just had my oil changed and it stated transmission fluid was FULL 2500 miles ago--The mechanic could find no leak anywhere and no debris in the pan under the transmission --How can this be?

Check your radiator coolant for transmission fluid. Your radiator has an internal coil that transmission fluid runs through. If this coil is broken there will be transmission fluid in your coolant and there will be no outside signs of a leak. OR someone drained the transmission fluid from your transmission. 8 quarts low is a major transmission fluid leak! Your transmission will began to act the way you describe at 1.5 to 2 quarts low. If your transmission was running fine before you took the truck in for an oil change, ( 2500 miles ago?) And there was an external leak, you would see 8 quarts of transmision fluid all over the bottom side of your tahoe. OR someone drained the transmission fluid. Notice I said this twice! Keep me posted.
