When I come to a complete stop the engine idles to 500 rpm and then picks up once I move. Is 500 rpm normal for an idle stop?

The idle on this vehicle is controlled by the PCM and uses the idle air control valve to achieve that.

Assuming that the idle does not bounce or surge when at a stop then 500 RPMs is just fine.

I am attaching the spec below which will show this.
