Have a short and it keeps taking my fuel pump out. Question is I ran a separate power to fuel pump and bypassed the fuel pump relay, truck cranks rite up seems to run OK, but when driving down the road it spits and sputters would that cause the pcm or computer to make the truck run crappy?

Hi, Your system shows to have an oil pressure switch in the fuel pump circuit, wired in parallel to the relay. As long as that circuit is functional, you can unplug the relay, the vehicle should still start and run. If I know a short is on a long wiring circuit, I don't hunt the short, I clip the wire at both ends and splice in a new wire. That will work, if no branches off the circuit. I wouldn't think your rewiring would cause your issue, can't be sure?
