1997 Chevy Suburban 4 wheel drive problem

Hello, I own a 1997 chevy suburban. When I push the shifter button for 4 low, the 4 hi button lights up, and 4 low blinks. It will NOT engage in 4 low. Any suggestions?

Check to see if there is power to the actuator on the transfer case. IF there is, chances are the actuator is the problem.

Let me know what you find.

I also have a 97. I always have to come to a complete stop and shift to neutral and wait for it to go into low. I usually hear a clunk then the low light stays on. Then shift back to drive.
