Grinding growling noise

Lately I've been hearing a "growling" noise coming from the driver side front. I've asked around and what I'm hearing is the ball joint/wheel bearings. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what this might be. 2001 2wd 4.3 silverado approx 84000km's

Check the front end, wheel bearings and ball joints, ball joints wont growl, but they need to be checked anyway, jack that thing up in the front and give the wheels a spin by hand and see what you hear, it could also be in the front diff but start simple
