The fan speed control has 5 speed settings 1 to 5. When I select the high or "5" setting the fan stops. It seems to work on all other speeds. Could this be the "Blower Motor Resistor"? If so, where is it and is it easy to change?

It is under the passenger side of the dash, near the blower motor.

Denny, Do I need the connector for sure or only if it shows signs of damage? Thank you very much for your help.

The big red wire on the connector usually has a loose terminal that will cause the wire to overheat. This will cause the heat to transfer through the resistor module and burn up the module. Look very close at the wire and you should see some discoloration. The connector might not even come out of the resistor.
