With high gas prices I don't drive my gas guzzler Silverado PU to much. Maybe once every two weeks. I have a new Battery from Sears which the cranking power is better than what Chevy recommends. The battery always dies still. What can I do to prevent it from being dead when I need the truck. Is this normal.

You have a short within the electrical system. Do this get a test light disconnect the negative cable and put test light in between the disconnected negative cable and battery negative post-Is the test light On-if so start removing fuses one by one -the fuse that turns the light off is the trouble circuit. this guide can help
