Ran a quick errand today with no problems before. When I attempted to start it up to go home, the key wouldn't turn in the ignition at all. I also noticed that the steering wheel will not lock, either. I'm stumped. And have no ride. Please help!

For some odd reason I’m on the same boat. The ignition key on my 05 Silverado won’t turn and the steeling wheel is not locked.
One thing that comes to mind is that my truck is parked on a down slop and that could be the cause, (I truly hope), however if anyone has any ideas please let me know...
