2001 Chevy Silverado Problem with 4WD switch

2001 Chevy Silverado Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Used the 4WD switch but now when I try to switch it back to 2WD it wont let me, the light just blinks
can you guys help me out.

The transfer case position sensor may not be recognizing the input from the switch. Have the transfer case control module scanned for codes. It could lead to a TCP sensor or encoder problem.
