The cluster gauges do't work for about 20 minutes,
gas gauge shows empty when tank is full, speedometer doesn't work. Then bright light icon stays on all night, truck will not start in morning, draining battery, took to dealer, wire harness melted, they are now rebuiliding cluster gauge assembly BECAUSE CHEVY DOES NOT MAKE THEM ANYMORE (GO FIGURE). I thought they had to make replacement parts for 10 years.

You might want to check all your ground wire to your frame. Although I have an 03, I had the same problem it was the ground cable to frame. Not sure about holding parts for 10 yrs, if dealer is charging to rebuild cluster u might want to try a wreckers and buy used. Usually a lot cheaper. Hope this helps
