2000 Chevy Silverado Two Wheel Drive Manual

My Silverado has the optional drivers side fourth door. It is a smaller door to convert the extended cab into a seating area. The door latch doesn't seem to be operating, I get a click, but it doesn't release. Not sure if this could be an easy fix, or if something major is wrong inside the door. I really need this operational soon, I have a baby on the way and without this door working things could get tough.

Have you taken the door panel off to access the linkage? Something may have come apart or the handle may be broken.

Check that out and let me know what you find.

I honestly was a bit scared that I would get it off and not be able to get the door closed or working properly again. I will definately check though, it is in a tight place being the partial door behind the drivers seat, but Ill see if anything is apparant.
