Service Engine Soon Light Not Working

I went to have my truck inspected and was told it had failed because the "service engine soon" light did not display when the key was turned on before the engine started. The computer download did not show any type of problem so I assume the bulb has burned out or a fuse has blown. The problem is I can't find which fuse to check and need to know where and how the best way is to change the bulb if it's not the fuse. Any ideas. Thanks. Dan

You are probably going to have to remove the dash cluster and replace the bulb, sometimes they just burn out.

It was a burned out bulb. Cost me $30 to have it replaced (and that was a deal compared to what it could have cost)! Then had to go back to the inspection place and have it re-inspected and pay $6.25 for a total of $30 to the inspection place and $30 for the light installer for a total of $60 for a burned out dash light on what USED to be a safety inspection now turned into a political cash cow! 40 years in NC of inspecting even brand new vehicles. Thank you government. Thank you lobbyist!
