1996 4WD Silverado electrial prob.

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my 1996 chev silverado, it cranks but won't start, sometimes will. It seems to be an electrical prob, when it doesn't start the lights on the intrument panel don't come on. It might sit for a few minutes and then start, or it might not.

Hi again,
:oops: I forgot to give you this info; Z71 4wd 192K miles. The truck cranks all the time it will start only when the instrument lights(dummy lts.) Come on. (Oil, alt, serv. Eng, seatbelt, etc.
