When trying to remove the quick disconnect fitting located at the top rear of the engine (feed hose to heater), the fitting broke off flush with the engine. I've soaked it in liquid wrench and tried to remove it with an "easy out" with no success; it's frozen solid! See picture below.

Any suggestions?

You will have to drill and tap with a 1/2 inch pipe threader, parts stores sell the kit. BTW I don't see a picture!

Thanks for your reply. Sorry about the lack of picture. I followed the "Add a Picture" instructions but apparently it doesn't work. I tried again here but it just provides a link that doesn't seem to go anywhere. What I was trying to to was show the location which appears to me to make it impossible to drill and tap without pulling the engine. Is that typically what you have to do to accomplish this repair? Thanks again.

Bob

You may have to remove the intake manifold. That is were the fitting is right? You don't want the drill shavings down in the cylinders!
