About a month ago my truck started cutting out when under acceleration. I just figured oh no big deal its old so what. Now its gotten to the point that it runs rough while idiling(very rough)and when you press the accelerator it spits and coughs and takes a good mile before you can reach sixty. When pressing the gas it cuts in and out very bad and shakes a bit. Its acting like its completely out of time which its not. I did the ol' paper clip in the obd since its so old and the check engine light flashed cose 32 which is an egr circuit fault. I replaced the egr but did not make a difference. Do you have any thing I could try so that I can diagnose and fix this truck.

Welcome to the forum, thanks for the donation. How long since a tune-up? Cap- rotor- plugs- plug wires- All filters. Use a gage and check fuel pressure.

You might block off the egr, test drive. See if it acts any better. That's just a test, don't leave it that way.

I had some what of the same problem with my 91 model. I went through everything, and all it was is the plug wire from the coil to the Cap. A $2 wire, after spending about $300. Just something you could check. Never know
