I have chevy 1998 s10 and I have problem with charging system or I am thinking its ground well the problem is I start my truck and after 5 mint. Its shut off by it self when I try to restart it but its sounds like week battery, so I wnat to know whats the real deal with? I also have another problem with same truck, its the oil psi gauge is malfuncting.

Sorry for late reply.

I'd have to make sure the battery has a full charge and battery connections all clean and tight. Then check your charging system. Some of the national brand auto stores will probably check this for free.

If you have the 4.3L engine, that fuel pressure spec on start-up is critical, 60--66 psi.

Your oil pressure spec says 18 psi @ 2000 rpms. Your oil pressure can go up and down with rpms.
