Smells problem
2001 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

After driving my car for about 5 minutes, my vents create white smoke and a sweet coolant smell comes through. Is there a way I can the heater core by flushing out my system or will I have to replace it. If I have to replace it. How would I do it.

Once the steam begins, it wont be long until the coolant makes a puddle on your floor! Unless you have the tools and the knowledge to disconnect A/C lines, you might want to think about paying someone, if you snap the A/C evap core lines, that will cost an extra two to three hundred just for the part. You will need to remove the plenum, and that can require the removal of the dash. Look under the dash on the passenger side, see if there is an access panel at the heater core, if there is, you can remove that and the heater hoses, and pull it out, if no panel, a lot of work is involved.
