1999 Chevy S-10 Starting

Out of the blue my truck wont start anymore. I checked the battery it isnt the battery. It may be the starter. I left it alone for a couple hours and came back. It started right up. I parked it again and tried starting it. Again it started. I turned it off and tried once more, this time it slowly died and tries to start it after that failed. Any idea?

Does vehicle crank or sit there and do nothing?

Be more descriptive of what it does and what it does not do when it wont and will start.

Do you have spark or fuel pressure?

I really dont think it would be the alternator.
