Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

i have had problems cranking, by pushing the clutch in, someone told me the nutruel switch is bad and its located on the clutch pedal under the dash and it was, he told me to undo it, and put a peice of wire to both sides(jumper) couldnt get it off so I cut the wires and wired them together, still nothing, had to get pushed off and it ran so I drove it home from work and parked it and it still wont crank, when I turn the key nothing happens, dash lights come on, please help. Thanks

There are a few places that could be the problem. The starter itself could be bad, the cable to the starter could have a bad connection. Could be a bad ground connection and could even be a bad ignition switch or a bad wiring connection.
