1998 Chevy S-10 S-10 Fuel Pump Not pumping

I have a 98 s10 and it would drag out about once a month or so when I went to start it. Mechanic after machanic told me that my fuel pump was going out. It finally did not start when I went to start it, I let it sit for two days and then it started right up. So I put a new fuel pump on it so I would not have to worrie about it. Its still doing the same thing! The fuel pump will only pump when it wants.

Have the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump relay control from the computer checked out-
