1997 Chevy S-10 white exhaust motor died

I just put on a new fuel pressure regulstor which is under the upper intake plinum on the 4.3 vortec motor and started it up anfd it had white smoke comming out the tail pipe I then took it for a drive to see if it would clear up cause it seemed to be running good besides that anjd it ended up dieing and then it would not start up again after that

White smoke usually means water or coolant being burnt out. Check coolant level and oil level. If oil is milky its good sign of blown head gasket. If coolant is low need to find the leak, may also be sign of faulty head gasket.
