1996 Chevy S-10 stop lights stay on

1996 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I have replaced all the bulbs and the brake pedal switch and the brake lights still stay on, so I have to pull the fuse and run with no brake lights. Any ideas? Thanks James

HI there, with the brake switch fitted, is it adjusted correctly, with the brakes off is there still power through the switch?

I took the brake switch off the pedal and manually push in the contact and the brakes still would not shut off. Do you think I may have a grounded wire somewhere? Thanks James

Hi there,

did you check for voltage running through the switch all the time, it may be a faulty new switch this does happen.
