2002 Chevy S-10 Brake Lights stay on except 3rd light.

It started about a month ago. The brake lights stay on except the 3rd brake light. I have bought a new brake light switch, I just haven't put it in. Will this fix the problem?

Welcome to the forum, in my opinion, no the switch won't fix the problem. The lower brake lites are wired through the multifunction switch. The high-mount brake lite isn't, if the high- mount lite works ok, the switch should be ok.

Its the multi function/blinker arm. Ordered one just a few min ago from advance auto parts for $140 over night
