1995 Chevy S-10 timing

Where is the wire that you unplug an what is the color of it to set the timing on the 4.3 W V6. Had to put intake gaskets on it now can't get timing set back right

DISTRIBUTED MODEL:
Disconnect the Tan/Black EST by pass connector wire.
NOt the 4 wire connector at the distributor.
Some models the egnine computer is under the hood, if that is the case the connector is a single tan/black wire and is located at the wiring harness near engine computer harness connectors.

If the computer is located in the passanger compartment, the bypass wire is by the wiring harness where the heater box and carpet meet on the passanger floor, you will have to pull off the carpet to find the connector on the outside of the harness.

Distributorless cannot have the ignition timing adjusted.
