1995 Chevy S-10 It wont start!

My truck started knocking about two days ago. It would knock on and off, not constantly. Well then suddenly driving down the road one night the Engine just stopped. We can not get it to start now. It makes a clicking noise but doesnt turn over. It acted like it wanted to start the day after it died but now nothing. We replaced the starter and dont know what else to do.
I just replaced the head gaskets, and etc. Please HELP!

Well the knocking could have been a wrist pin, or connecting rod bearing, put w wrench on the crankshaft and see if you can turn it by hand, if not, it may be siezed.
