My truck started missing and after checking we found it to be firing weak. We had already put new plugs and plug wires on it so we changed the coils and control modulator plate and afterwards it still had a miss. It will start and run for a few minutes and then quit. After that it has to sit for a few minutes befor it will start again. The smell of gas is strong when it starts also. We have already changed the crank sensor. Can you tell me whats wrong, PLEASE!

You may have a fuel injection problem. A bd injector will cause a miss as well. Or it can be fuel pressure, or fuel filter. Or eve n bad comnpression. It can also be an ignition problem. That isn't much ehlp but if you have a tach disconnect it and see if it starts. If it does then the tach is causing theproblem.
