1991 Chevy S-10 died in the highway

At 60 mph the engine died. It did this once before, but started right back up. Now the engine will sound like it is starting, but seems to get no gas, although the tank is over 1/2 full.

Hi check and see if when you turn your key on, does the fuel pump in the gas tank run for 3 secs?
If yes check fuel pressure. Sounds like a bad fuel pump.
