My blazer as I asked about earlier I think may need an altinator. Well I cant get my truck to start and its broke down in a walmart parking lot. How to I test the altinator if my truck wont run? Can I remove it and take it to auto zone? Or does it have to be attached to my vechicle for them to test? If so if I use a multimeter, how do I test or what do I look for if the truck wont start at all? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but im not a mechanic, nor can I afford to have my truck towed to one or have one work on it lol.

Hello, if the vehicle cranks good, but won't start, I don't think the alternator is the problem? Is the battery run down? If it is, take it off and have it recharged. Yeah, you can take the alternator off, take it to be tested.
