1988 Chevy S-10 my 1988 S-10 wont start

I have a 1988 s10 with a 2.8 v6 and it will turn over with no trouble but it wont start so I tried spraying starter fliud in the carb and it started but then died I figure its a fuel issue is this the problem if so I need help with diagnosing and fixing

Welcome to the forum, are you TBI fuel injection? If so there is an injector/s in the throttle-body. Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Are there any trouble-codes, you should be able to check codes yourself?

When you first turn the key on, no crank, can you hear the pump run for a few seconds? If not, I'd have to check for voltage and ground at the pump connector. How long since a tune-up?
