1986 Chevy S-10 HEI

My engine code is showing a 42 code does this mean my hei module is bad. I think my problem is in the oxy sensor. Truck won't start and act like there is no gas. When fuel line at the "carb" is loosened I have fuel pressure when trying to start.

Hello, I'd check for spark at the plugs, with the engine cranking. If there is no spark and the coil is in the cap, use a testlite on the tach terminal, should be a pulse with the engine cranking. You could also check for b+ at the coil.
