Hi
This may be a bad fuel pump first check to see if you have good fuel presure first

Could be the Carburetor, When I bought my 84 2.8 mine ran rough and wouldnt stay runnin half the time, So I replaced the plugs wires and had the carb rebuilt and it ran like a champ.
