1982 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

Hi I have a 82, S-10 with a 2.8 motor. I am think of fixing up another 2.8 motor to put in the truck in the future. It seams the lower main bearing are a weak spot in the 2.8 motors. Would you recommend putting a high Out- Put oil pump into it? Thanks Darrell

I would just ensure that all the bearings are of the highest quality, there is no real reason to use a high flow pump. Make sure that the oil clearances are correct and there should not be a problem.
