I was driving and my check engine light came on, then my oil pressure gauge went from normal to 0 and when I stopped after about ten miles white smoke was rushing out of my engine. I havent started it since, what could be wrong, there is oil in the oil pan.

Hope you didn't ruin your engine? What was the temp gage doing while you were driving? I'd have to double-check the oil pressure.

The temperture stayed about where iit noramlly is, I didnt run it long after the engine light came on. We think it was the oil pump but not really sure. It did smell like burning oil when I got out, and the smoke was rushing out of the engine compartment while it was closed, I left it closed for about fifteen minutes, when I opened it it was no longer smoking, checked the oil and the oil was still in the pan fresh as could be (changed about three weeks ago) there was no oil pressure, none.

If your gage is correct, I suspect the oil pump. Was the vehicle using any oil?

There was the correct amount of oil in the oil container.
Do you have an approximate repair cost? Rough estimate even.

500 bucks for labor is probably cheap. The oil pump I looked at was 141 dollars. Labor time showed around 9 hrs.

That smoke sounds like possible engine damage. Call around get an estimate.
