1998 Chevy Prizm starting problem

I have a 1998 Chevy Prizm and it takes several attempts to start. When you turn the key nothing again and again, then it starts. When you turn the key it makes one click noise.

Most likely a starter problem. Remove starter and have it bench tested at most autoparts stores for free.

If starter tests OK, then check battery connections, if all good, then ign. Switch may be problem.
